This is the final / second round animation of my emotion project. I’m still not totally happy with it, but I’m not really interested in continuing this project.

For dynamic typography we have to animate an emotion. I wanted an emotion that would have a bit of dimension and would be somewhat challenging, so I went with Homesick. The concept is based on “One of These Things is Not Like the Others” and I wanted to show that through different typefaces.

Above is the first round animation.

We had to make a slate for ourselves in Dynamic Tyopgraphy, so I tried to make mine have the look of a Thaumatrope. It could still use a lot of refinement if I was really going to use it, but it’s still a pretty cool effect.

This was just a quick exercise in After Effects using text attributes. I was going for a shaking / wiggling effect. Bill Cosby might like it.
